RANGE RULES

September 1, 2007

1. Shooting hours are from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

2. When any person is down-range from the firing-line the “range is closed” and all firearms must be made safe; unloaded chamber, unloaded magazine and the action must be open or the bolt removed.

3. The range is closed to personal use during scheduled matches [unless approved by the officiating match director].

4. No alcoholic beverages are allowed before or during the handling or shooting of any firearm.

5. All shots must be fired downrange and in a manner where the bullet will impact an earthen backstop.

6. All shots must only be fired at approved targets mounted on target frames; no shooting at the target posts or improvised targets such as cans, bottles, fruit, vegetables, etc.

7. No fully automatic firearms or explosives are allowed.

8. No fifty caliber Browning machine gun [.50 BMG] ammunition is allowed.

9. Persons under 18 years old are not allowed on the premises unless supervised by an adult over 21 years old.

10. Children under 18 years old, or under 23 years old and full-time college students, and the spouse of a member may have unlimited range visits when accompanied by the member. Children between the ages of 18 and 23 and full-time college students and the member’s spouse may have full range privileges upon purchase of a Youth or Spouse Membership.

11. All targets must be removed when finished shooting.

12. A member may bring up to two guests per year to the range. Each guest is limited to two visits per year.
